Top 4 Chicago Cafes

If you know me, you must know that I am absolutely addicted to going to coffee shops on an almost daily basis. It's simply so convenient for me to do my work in spots like these because of the perfect atmosphere. Below I have mentioned the top 4 of my favorite cafes in the Chicagoland area and what I love about each.

1. Sawada Coffee
There are absolutely no words to describe the perfection of this place. I originally came in because I found out that it has matcha lattes - which had been very rare to find in Chicago. And so, with the first sip, I instantly fell in love with the place - and of course it's doughnuts from my favorite place, the Doughnut Vault.

2. C.C. Ferns
I first came to visit this place because it seemed to be where all the major Instagrammers came to visit. Very quickly, it became my go-to coffee shop that carries the absolute best oatmeal raisin cookie on the planet...not to mention it's the size of my head.

3. Caffe Streets
I began coming here simply because it was so close to where I lived. What I adore most is their freshly made variety of scones.

4. Heritage Bicycles
This is another Instagram found love of mine. Although it's further from my house than any of the other spots, I enjoy coming here when I have the most times. My favorite drink to grab is the vanilla soy latte and I often pair it with a slice of pie offered from Bang Bang Pie.

XOXO

This sweater is absolutely everything and more. I'm not one to wear striped clothing very often, but I do like to every now and then. Found this cute little thing from Pull&Bear in Poland and fell in love with the little graphic hearts on it. Most of my clothes are simple and you will very rarely see me wearing something that has many words on it (I feel like shirts shouldn't look like essays) - or more than one graphic for that matter. Anyway, what I want to focus on is the fact that I really surprised myself when I took a liking to this sweater. And I hope you love it just as much as I do.

New Leather

Currently addicted to my new faux leather jacket. You all know that the one I have from Bershka is a staple, but this one's a little different and I love it- gives off a very Balmain vibe.

Basic

As you could probably tell, shirts are my thing. I love going for the simplest pants and having a shirt be the focal point of my outfit.

Second Skin

I may not wear overalls as often as the overall queen herself, Danielle Bernstein, but I do consider them among my favorite clothing items. They're so time efficient- you can just put them on and head out the door. I'm currently so obsessed with this pair from Urban Outfitters (but when am I not obsessed with whatever I purchase from there). Usually, you see people wearing denim overalls or a classic black, yet these are a different kind of olive-brown that I think are perfect for the fall. That being said, you'll probably see these more than once this season.

Heart Eyes

This CDG shirt is such a must have for me. It's the only item of this color in my closet and believe it or not, it's practical for every season of the year. If you've ever thought of getting a shirt like this one but didn't think it was worth it..I'm here to tell you that it is. Definitely something I know I'll keep for a long while.
If I'm being honest, I rarely wear these slides. But when I do....I can't stop looking at my feet.

Pink Bomber

I love fall weather primarily because I get to wear cute light jackets like this one. Found this gem of a bomber while shopping in Europe this summer. It's perfect for those afternoon strolls around the windy city. Usually I don't go for jackets that are a color other than black, but this one caught my eye and I just couldn't say no.

Thursday

Would it be a normal end of summer day if you didn't see me wearing ripped jeans? Probably not. I've been wearing these types of jeans so often recently, just because I know that soon Chicago will decide to skip fall and go straight to winter. As I've said in previous posts, I love being comfortable, yet want it to seem as if I tried at least a little. I feel like loose ripped jeans are perfect for exactly that.

Let It Flow

Felt like sharing another one of my "laid-back" outfits with you today, so here we are! I've always loved loose, flowy clothing and the shirt I wore definitely fits well into that category. It's perfect for days when you don't feel like trying with your outfit, but still want to look cute. Let's face it though, that's what I wear most of the time. I feel like keeping it simple (not too many layers) can still show some edginess.
I actually looked up and smiled for once...how proud are you?

Shades of Grey

I guess you could call this a "groutfit" ..but let's be real, it's still cute.
There's no doubt that I'm obsessed with white shoes, especially these vans. I love pairing low top shoes with above-the-ankle socks. I feel like doing this gives more attention to the shoes that you wear.

Holy Jeans

I think my "thing" is that I always look down in pictures. I call dibs. Today I put together another really laid-back look because I feel like that's what back to school outfits should really be about. I'm also wearing ripped jeans again...I'll never get tired of them I swear.

Back To School

Back to school, back to blogging? There's no denying that I've missed this; writing about my days, what I eat and especially, what I wear. Not much has changed while I've been away. I may finally be a senior in high school, but I still wear the same pants that I bought during sophomore year. So, if there's any advice I could give you, it's to buy your jeans at topshop.
But in all seriousness I think I'm going to be back for a while so stay tuned to see more of my outfits this year.
