Taste Of Paris (Part 2)

Last time you read about the glorious pastries I enjoyed while on my trip in Paris. Today you'll be blessed with the sight of some savory foods that I was pleased to have on my plate.

For the weekend we decided to check out the raved-about Holybelly. This spot is one where you wouldn't find too many tourists rather than locals, which are the types of places I love. I ordered 2 poached eggs with bread, hash browns, and beans. My mom on the other hand went for some crazy-delcious pancakes (yes I am fully aware of them not being savory) topped with freshly whipped cream, strawberries, pistachios, and obviously maple syrup. This brunch spot was supposed to be American, yet it was far better than numerous foods in America. My belly felt truly holy after finishing every last crumb on my plate.

When in the streets of Le Marais, there is no other option than to try L'As Du Fallafel. There are about 3 or 4 fallafel spots in the exact same area, yet the longest line is ALWAYS for this one. I could not just go there once during this trip. The second time was even better than the first. I presume that the third would be an absolute charm.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "She ate pizza in FRANCE?!" My answer can only ever be "Heck Yes!!" and I'm not ashamed. While scrolling through Parisian Instagram feeds, I discovered a lovely Italian restaurant named, East Mamma. Dinner at this location starts at 7:30 and thankfully my mom and I lined up outside the door at 7 because if we got there any later we'd be standing behind more than just 30 people. The servers and chefs were all proudly Italian and kept all of the restaurant visitors fully entertained. Not knowing the size, my mom and I ordered two pizzas. They came out huge, yet I do not regret eating almost the entire thing. Apart from the outer crust, the middle was a paper thin beauty. I can't stress enough how mouthwatering the entire menu seemed. Infinite gold stars from me for this place!!
