Taste Of Paris (Part 1)

This past month I set out for a week long trip to Paris with my mom for some birthday celebrations. This was my first time in France and can't stress enough how deep I fell into love with that gorgeous city. Every corner you turn on is incredibly beautiful in its own way. Every single Parisian seems incredibly lively and overjoyed to be French. My phone in hand and Instagram on my screen, I was prepared to find the best little Parisian cafes and other delicacies.

French people are indeed the most talented when it comes to baking. We found the best little patisserie one morning while actually roaming for a different one. Simply walking past PAIN PAIN, we smelled the sweet air of freshly baked pastries and our legs swiftly moved in the direction of the beautiful shop entrance. I could not stand only having one treat that day so I decided to get one Pain au Chocolat aux Amandes with a Pain aux Raisins. Taking each bite with caution, my mind noted that those were indeed the best pastries I've eaten in my entire life (and that says a lot). If you're ever in Paris, you have not other option but to stop by this gorgeous spot located in Montmartre.

Never having tried an eclair in my life, I realized that I had no other choice than to take my eclairinity (get it? no? alright). Of course there are various places in Paris where you can find one of these tasty treats, but I had to make sure that my first time was the best. So, I went straight to google maps and typed in L'éclair De Genie. Arriving at my destination, I asked for the best eclair they sold. I was presented with vanilla filled, pecan topped goodness. My life may never be as wonderful as it was the moment I took my first bite.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at a tiny hotel that was only a few steps away from a newly open, Maison Plisson. Following the scents of fresh breads, my mom and I stopped by this cute cafe + grocery shop to enjoy some brilliant works of art. Managing to get there right when it opened, we got to pick out the freshest of fresh baked goods. During this trip I developed an intense love for Pain au Raisins and the one at this location was by far my favorite.

Those are only some of the incredibly mouthwatering foods I got a chance to try in the gorgeous city of Paris. I hope I made you extremely jealous, wanting nothing more than to take a quick trip there (or maybe you'd like the food delivered, that's cool too). Au Revoir for now!
